ThA1.4 - HIGH PERFORMANCE ULTRAVIOLET MICRO-LED ARRAYS FOR FINE-PITCH MICRO DISPLAYS

Abstract

Abstract

Highly efficient ultraviolet micro LED arrays are demonstrated. Small devices (5 microns in size) suitable for high resolution (725 ppi) can be produced with low leakage current and good emission spectra stability. A 10 by 10 array is achieved with passive-matrix driving connection.

WA1.3 - FINE PITCH COLLOIDAL QUANTUM DOT MATRIX FOR MICRO-LED DISPLAY APPLICATIONS

Abstract

Abstract

we demonstrated a QD ink-jet printing technology that can be applied to high resolution RGB micro-display. A 5 by 5 array with individual element size of 10m was fabricated. The light conversion efficiency of red light could achieve 55% of the pumping source and green light can reach 31%.

WG2.5 - THERMAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE THREE-SECTION DISTRIBUTED FEEDBACK LASERS

Abstract

Abstract

Three-section DFB laser was used to compare thermal effect to red shift. Measurement results showed 0.075nm/°C. Simulation results were compared between the measured and calculation of this three-section device.

WP13 - AN INVESTIGATION ON 25GB/S ULTRA-SHORT CAVITY QUANTUM WELL LASERS OPERATED AT ELEVATED TEMPERATURES

Abstract

Abstract

1310nm Fabry-Perot QW lasers with ultra-short cavity are fabricated. The shortest cavity length is 25mm, and the laser has mW-class output with low threshold currents. At room temperature, an opened eye diagram with 28Gb/s transmission rate and 25Gb/s eye patterns from 15oC to 65oC are demonstrated.
