Abstract

Abstract

First I will compare and contrast quantum photonic communication with the traditional classical optical communication. Then I will focus on device technologies and review their current state-of-the-art for interconnecting distant quantum data nodes in a quantum photonic network of the future.

TuF2.2 - EFFECT OF PUMP BANDWIDTH ON MEASUREMENTS OF FREQUENCY-BIN ENTANGLEMENT.

Abstract

Abstract

Based on two-photon interference measurements for various pump line-pulse shaper detunings, we show that frequency-bin entanglement can be established in regimes where the pump bandwidth is less than the free spectral range of the biphoton frequency comb.

Abstract

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate entanglement distillation of polarization-entangled Bell states which undergo polarization dependent loss (PDL) and Rank-2 noise applied via polarization mode dispersion (PMD). By appropriately applying additional PDL, we distill optimally entangled states in the presence of two distinct cases of noise.
