MF3.5 - TEMPERATURE-INDEPENDENT BENDING SENSOR BASED ON HOLLOW CORE MICROSTRUCTURED OPTICAL FIBER

Abstract

Abstract

A temperature-independent bending sensor is proposed and developed based on hollow core microstructured optical fiber (HC-MOF). The device consists of a section of HC-MOF sandwiched by two segments of single mode fibers with the central-alignment. The nonlinear bending response is simulated and demonstrated experimentally.

WP6 - TEMPERATURE SENSOR BASED ON SELECTIVELY LIQUID INFILTRATED DUAL CORE PHOTONIC CRYSTAL FIBER

Abstract

Abstract

We proposed a temperature sensor by selectively infiltrating refractive index liquid (RIL) in the central airhole of a dual core photonic crystal fiber (PCF). The temperature dependent propagation characteristics of modes in the dual core PCF are analyzed numerically.
