We present a SiN/SiO2/Si heterostructure that can achieve extremely high dispersions (|Dλ|>107 ps/nm/km). The large group velocity difference between the SiN and Si waveguides results in such high dispersions.

Abstract

Abstract

We present a thin silicon nitride waveguide array that achieves a broadband near-zero dispersion profile at near-infrared (1350 - 1800 nm). Multiple mode couplings are introduced at four different wavelengths by coupling different orders of modes.
