Abstract

In this talk, I will discuss some interesting phenomena around exceptional points (EPs) in whispering-gallery-mode resonators. Examples including chiral modes and lasing, EP-enhanced sensing, a non-Hermitian phonon laser with linewidth tuned in the vicinity of EPs, and EP-induced transparency and absorption will be introduced.
