Abstract

Abstract

Design of a wedged light guide with a sine-shaped light-redirecting surface is proposed and its optical performance was simulated. Tooling inserts of the proposed light guide were fabricated by surface structuring by laser remelting process, and their shape accuracy and light scattering performance was demonstrated.
