We report a femtosecond optical parametric oscillator (OPO) based on orientation-patterned gallium phosphide (OP-GaP), with continuous tunability across 3.6–8 μm. Up to 54 mW of output average power at 80 MHz is produced and peak powers of 3 kW in the mid-IR are inferred.

We report the first realization of an optical parametric oscillator based on PPMCLT pumped in green, widely tunable across 677-1025 nm in the signal and 1134-2479 nm in the idler with more than 130 mW of output power in high beam quality.
