Remote physiological assessment holds promise for healthcare and human computer interfaces. Imaging photoplethysmography utilizes cameras to measure variations in light absorption corresponding with the cardiac cycle. We present the development of and improvements resulting from the spectral characteristics of the remotely-measured blood volume pulse signal.
