Abstract

Abstract

Laser diagnostic techniques are essential for performing time-resolved studies of solid rocket propellant combustion and small explosives detonations. Digital in-line holography (DIH) is a powerful tool for three-dimensional particle tracking in complex multiphase flows. By combining DIH with complementary diagnostics, particle surface temperatures and soot/smoke properties can also be identified.
