Abstract
Abstract
Biosensors incorporating optofluidic waveguides take advantage of a full suite of integrated optical structures. Compatible with visible wavelengths, these labs-on-chip are constructed primarily from silica films on silicon substrates and include optimized liquid core, buried rib, and multi-mode-interference (MMI) waveguides.TuB2.2 - Optofluidic Waveguides – Biomedical Applications

Abstract
Abstract
I will discuss applications of a waveguide-based chip-scale platform for ultrasensitive biomolecule analysis. Examples include amplification-free detection of nucleic acids, multiplex detection of single viruses using MMI waveguides, simultaneous detection of proteins and nucleic acid biomarkers, and integration of nanopores for electro-optical single molecule analysis.
