Abstract

Abstract

We present a trusted node quantum key distribution system deployed at an electric utility. We show the QKD distance limitation can be extended using trusted nodes with realistic utility fiber infrastructure, demonstrating the possibility of quantum technologies in providing information security to electric grid devices.

Abstract

Abstract

In this talk, we establish a framework for what quantum repeaters are and how their performance can be established. We extend these concepts to quantum networks and show one must be extremely careful when establishing the optimal communication bounds within them.

Abstract

Abstract

Quantum information science and technology enables informational secure quantum cryptography (quantum communication). This presentation will highlight a few of our progress towards the ultimate goal of global quantum communication. Future Prospects include building a global quantum communication infrastructure with satellite and fiber networks.
