WB1.1 - EFFICIENT RESOURCE ALLOCATION SCHEME FOR MULTI-USER HYBRID VLC/IR NETWORKS
Abstract
Abstract
An optimal fair resource allocation (OFRA) scheme is proposed to mitigate both inter-symbol and inter-user interferences in the uplink multi-user VLC/IR networks. The scheme aims to improve the fairness among the users in terms of their received signal-to-interference-plus-noise-ratios (SINRs) by implementing the angle diversity technology.
WB1.2 - 256 GB/S FOUR-CHANNEL SDM-BASED PAM4 FSO-UWOC CONVERGENT SYSTEM
Abstract
Abstract
A 256 Gb/s SDM-based PAM4 FSO-UWOC convergent system that adopts two-stage injection-locked red-light VCSEL transmitters is experimentally demonstrated. 630–720 nm red-light VCSEL transmitters are utilized in this demonstration. This structure is the pioneering one to build a high-speed FSO-UWOC convergece with qualified transmission performances.
WB1.3 - DEMONSTRATION OF OPTICAL WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS USING SPATIAL MODULATION WITH SIGNAL SPACE DIVERSITY
Abstract
Abstract
Spatial modulation with signal space diversity is proposed and experimentally demonstrated using 4-CAP modulation for indoor optical wireless communications. An improved data rate of 7.5 Gb/s is achieved using 2.5 GB/s CAP modulation with rotated CAP constellation and diversity interleaving to enhance BER performance.

Abstract
Abstract
We investigate the impact of the DAC resolution and bandwidth on the gain of Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) over decision-feedback equalization in 112 Gbaud PAM4 back-to-back simulations. A 2 km SSMF O-band transmission scenario also shows improved performance by THP.
WB1.5 - OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES OF FUTURE LIFI
Abstract
Abstract
The talk will review key advancements in physical layer techniques that led to transmission speeds greater than 15 Gbps from ordinary LEDs. We will discuss the challenges to eventually achieve Tbps LiFi systems.
