Abstract

In this session, we investigate the role that doctor shadowing and clinical experience has on medical students. We assess student clinical preparedness at multiple time points leading up to clerkship rotations to better understand lapses in clinical education while time remains in students’ training years. This study employs a combination of questionnaire and standardized testing-based data collection to analyze both qualitative and quantitative measures of student preparedness for clinical rotations.
