Abstract

Formal mentorship programs have provided medical students more research opportunities, guidance on career decisions, enhanced professional and personal development. To better understand the influences on strong mentor-mentee connections, we must closely examine the mentorship landscape. In this session, We aim to answer the following questions: 1) Which models of mentorship are most commonly used? 2) Has one particular model been found to be superior? 3) What were the goals of each mentorship program? 4) What were the outcomes of each mentorship program?
