Abstract

Nationally, there’s growing concerns attending medical school can increase stress and anxiety levels among medical students. Rowan SOM surveyed students to identify key stressor and barriers to attending wellness events. This presentation is designed to give you a fresh perspective on building wellness programming around the medical students’ busy schedules and offer creative ways to distribute wellness information. Much of the programming was accomplished through external organization partnerships and campus collaborations. Some of the unique and diverse programming at Rowan SOM include Koru mindfulness training, pet therapy, promotion of uplifting messages, calming jars and environment transformations.
