Description: Medical schools around the world are interested in implementing Entrustable Professional Activities (EPA) as a focus for teaching and assessing learner performance in the workplace. EPAs can be used to frame competencies in the context of what physicians do in daily practice allowing for assessments that align with observations in the clinical environment. Capturing these clinical observations and level of supervision to inform trainee progression can be challenging. Efforts to move these initiatives forward for assessment of learners in the health professions have been developing in the osteopathic profession. This session will focus on updating attendees on the state of EPA implementation throughout the osteopathic medical profession and report on best practices and efforts from the AACOM EPA Steering Committee.
