Abstract

Although the Child Advocacy Studies Training (CAST) program has been implemented nationally at several universities at the undergraduate and graduate levels, the program has not yet been implemented broadly in medical school settings. William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine (WCUCOM) is the first osteopathic medical school in the country, and second of all medical schools (allopathic or osteopathic), to have implemented the CAST curriculum. At WCUCOM, the CAST program has been implemented using a two-tier approach.
